None of us have control of our emotions. They come and go. But I found that when I dwell on how I am feeling they stay around longer. When the sad moments come (I won't say negative, because sometimes the not so good feelings are important and something good can come out of them) I try and count my blessings. There is a quote from Charles Dickens that says “Reflect upon your present blessings of which every man has many - not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some”. I do believe the blessings, the majority of time, out weigh the misfortunes. I may not always feel it.
